  • Is elbi really free?

    Yes. The core — SDK, CLI, agent runtime, MCP server, web app — is Apache-2.0, forever, commercial use included. Enterprise is a separate, licensed layer for teams that need SSO, per-object policy, and shared deployment.

  • What does “built for one person” mean?

    elbi's core has no accounts or sign-in: every derivation, binding, and certificate belongs to whoever runs the process. elbi-enterprise adds users, groups, and grants on top of the same store.

  • Does elbi-enterprise fork the open-source project?

    No. It attaches through published seams — an extension point, a store subclass, an auth strategy — so a core fix arrives in enterprise with a version bump, not a merge.

  • Does my data leave my network?

    No — not unless you point it somewhere. elbi runs on your machine (or your cluster, with Enterprise) and only reaches the network for a step you configured: a model call, a warehouse connection.

  • Is elbi-enterprise free to try?

    Yes — development, testing, and evaluation don't require a subscription. Only production use does. Talk to us if you're not sure which applies to you.
